Organized in 1960, the Gilbert Historical Museum moved to the old elementary which was deemed a historical building in 1980. The museum is only open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 5 to 12, and kids under age five are free.

The 500 Club Golf Course is a championship golf course that features 18 challenging holes in the foothills to the northwest of Phoenix. The course was designed by Brian Whitcomb and is rated at par 72. Each hole features both regular and championship tees.
